Energy Florida participates in RAPID 3D Conference

Executive Director Michael Aller, participated in the Additive Manufacturing Standardization Collaborative forum held during the RAPID 3D and TCT additive manufacturing conference and tradeshow in Pittsburgh PA, from May 8-11 2017. The Energy Florida team has been identifying and outlining key opportunities and challenges in the implementation of additive manufacturing on behalf of the gas turbine design, engineering, manufacturing and maintenance industries.  

 

Energy Florida is working with Kennedy Space Center’s Cryogenic Laboratory

Energy Florida is working in support of the advanced cryogenic storage tank development and demonstration project funded by the Department of Energy’s Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy division and is leveraging Kennedy Space Center’s Cryogenic Test Laboratory personnel and resources to develop an innovative cryogenic storage tank solution for hydrogen fuel cell and liquefied natural gas vehicles. The project team is currently identifying and testing appropriate insulation materials for use in the first stage prototype fabrication and testing.
